Fire Barrier - Rhino 0706

A small fire on cable trays, caused by either an internal or external source, may have an immeasurable impact on most facility operations.

In petrochemical industry a fire in the hydrocarbon pump area can easily spread through cable trays, damaging cables, affecting business continuity due to cable supply time and replacement, fire can enter to electrical rooms where force and/or control equipment is located.

Fire-Stop Systems advises to apply Rhino 0706 in cable trays at hydrocarbon pump areas to avoid the “blowtorch effect” caused by fire. Thus, staff, equipment and other areas are kept safe against fire spread.

Installation

Press the “Type 310 Panel” up to fit between the cable tray edges, holding it tight with metallic wire. Then, apply Thermalastic® 83C on the 310 Panel`s surface until a dry thickness of 1/16 in (1,6 mm) is achieved on the side of the panel that is exposed to the pumps. This coating layer will protect against fire and adhere #310 panel to the tray.
